We cannot do it all, so let's prioritize and decide what it is we CAN do that will matter the most. The learning curve is the hardest part of the best changes to come.

I was thrust into holistic living out of need--I was very sick and had to make major life changes promptly. The steep learning curve was stressful and drawn out. I always wondered how I could have healed faster/better if I knew what I now know.

Trying to wade through the information WHILE being sick was so much at times that it was hard to keep pushing forward even though  I absolutely had to. (Read about my Lyme Journey here.) In hindsight, I wish that I had an execution list of where to start and what to prioritize to move more gracefully into my new way of living.

My Story

I have taught research and writing for fifteen years, and I look forward to being able to use my expertise in information gathering, vetting, synthesizing, and presenting in this blog. I want to create a space that I wish I had found on my journey to wellness: information rich, options available, and encouraging at the same time.

I have a list of nearly 200 articles I will be presenting over the coming months, and I will also be adding based on your interest and needs. My hope is that the content will take natural fluidity based on my audience, so your feedback is important to me!

My Hopes

Nothing around here would ever come to fruition without my partner-in-life. From irrigation, to tractor work, to listening ear, Pete wears many hats at home when he is not at work or out on a long fire assignment.

The boy that made me mama is a constant breath of inspiration. His wonder at everything in the natural world is what pushed me to pursue homeschooling as an option for our living style.

The girl that made the mama I dreamed to be is a firecracker.  She is coming into her own, distinct personality which has shifted our little family dynamic into that of adaptability. She is always looking for the fun.
